About us

Knitted Mittens started with one pair, made for a cold bus stop. Friends asked for their own, then their friends did, and today a small team of knitters makes a few hundred pairs every winter.

We keep the range small on purpose. Six patterns, each one tested through a full season before it goes on sale. We would rather make a pair that lasts ten years than ten pairs that last one.

What we care about

• Natural fibres: merino and lambswool from small farms.
• Fair pay for every knitter in the workshop.
• Repairs: send a worn pair back and we will darn it.
• Recycled and plastic-free packaging.
